Reasons Why Most Patients Choose Home Health Care Services

Home health care is the phrase used for the process of providing treatment and medical care that is usually done in the premises of the patient’s home by competent and certified health providers such as nurses, caregivers, or physical therapists. There are two kinds of home health care that may be administered; one is the informal or casual supervision where in the administration of the health care is done by the patient’s family members while the formal administration is executed by the professional health providers.
Home health care service aims to provide the patient the maximum level of comfort while they are being treated for their ailment. The services that they offer include health and psychological help that consist of wounds treatment, teaching the patients how to deal with pains, and other kinds of treatment that is related to health. Home health care services may also include performing easy everyday tasks like cooking and preparing meal for the patient, going to the toilet, helping them take the medication at the correct interval and other tasks that the patient cannot be able to do.
The people who are more likely to avail of home health care services are those who are newly discharged from the hospital but still needs extra care especially if the patient is still very weak and cannot perform the complicated processes of medical care on their own.
In the United States more patients prefer the informal method of home health care because aside from the fact that they do not have to pay more for the services of the professional caregivers, they also get the chance to have the company of their loved ones. In the event they would need the help of the nurses and doctors, their services will be taken care of and be paid for by their insurance company, if they have one.
Finding home health care services is not a big problem because there are so many health institutions that offer and provide their services for very affordable rates. Your doctor or any other medical worker can help and recommend you the institutions that are competent enough to help you with your health issues. Finding the perfect home health care provider is the key to a better and more effective treatment of the patient’s ailment.
Compared to nursing institutions, home health care is way too affordable that’s why most patients especially the elderly prefer to stay in their home while they are recuperating from their ailment. A home health care service is the best route to take especially if the condition of the patient is not that severe. When your loved one is on the good hands of good and reliable home health provider, you can be sure that the recuperation process of the patient will only take short period of time.
Home health care is advisable if you think the patient is not comfortable being left alone, there is danger of falling, the patient might forget to take the medicines at the right time, or if there is no one to take care of your loved ones because you have to work, or because the patient’s physician advised to do so.

You are joking right or is it you have never been to an emergency room. You never get served immediately!! What an asshole you are. SHUT THE FUCK UP!!
God decides.
In England, Govt = God
They have a 100 percent covered plan for them and their families for life (assuming they serve at least 6 years), along with an excellent pension plan for life.
They will care about the crisis if it is something the voters want! After all, if they are not acting in the interest of the voters, they will lose their seat and their health care plan.
Unfortunately, there is so much disagreement between the "left" and the "right" that it is difficult for congress to do anything. In addition, many people (even those who truly need health care reforms) vote based on moral values, leaving health care to be ignored.
Okay if you won't have any clinical skills or any managerial/administration skills, just what will you do? You'll have a lot of knowledge but nothing to do with it.
In any plan made by Clinton the only financial incentives are to put money in her personal bank account.
If you have a really good health food store with knowledgeable people I would ask who they might know or suggest. Also the Internet site www. alternative medicine for Maine would hopefully give some info. Good Luck
Amazing. Nursing is like the best profession out there. There are so many sub-specialties in all professional areas.
There are about 100 different nursing specialties. See below for the list. I know that doesn't completely answer you question, but the list can give you some ideas. Research, for instance, or Business Administration, There the CSI angle, but the TV show seems to make it more glamorous than it probably really is. Then there are legal nurse consultants.
You can find a list of the highest paying nursing specialties here on the right hand column: http://www.jobs-in-registered-nursing.com/nursing-specialities/index.php
Another approach is to see what all the nursing schools offer.

It’s rather scary here in the states. I’ve had many family members loose every due to hospital bills they couldn’t pay… most of them had at least some type of insurance.
You need to talk with a local agent that works with all of the major companies in your area. Insurance companies and the plans they offer will vary from state to state and the premium with any one plan can vary by zip code.
At 22 if you are in good health you should be able to find a catastrophic plan for less than $100 in most states and a comprehensive plan shouldn't be much more than $100.
The agent will be able to explain what you need to know – there is not enough space here to tell you everything. You'll need to know about the deductible, the co-insurance, the co-pays and what is covered with the co-pay, what procedures are and are not subject to the deductible, what is excluded from the plans, which doctors accept the plans, the different types of plans and how they operate, the prescription coverage if any, and much more. There is no extra charge using an agent.
Health care is not free. It is a creation of innovation and the human mind.
Maybe the reason there are less cures than you expect is because if someone gets free money from the Government then why bother creating something that works?
AS long as “treatment” is paid for with cash, your practicing eugenics. Health care is free.. Cures should have no cost. the researcher gets grants and funding, they are paid.
ridiculous we spend millions every year on research with nothing to show for it, treason to waste so much money.
I am also British and I think our system is a disgrace.
If you move house you have to change GP, if you need a hospital appointment you wait 3 months, then you wait another 3 months before you can get booked in to tests then you wait another 2 months before you can discuss the test results. By then the doctor has forgotten who you are.
Doctors are also disincentivized from offering real solutions. They play it safe and do what the Govt tells them.
I do NOT want universal healthcare or socialized medicine in the United States. We do not need to want the government to babysit us.
If Canadians want to pay mountains of txes for their socialism, then let them. Keep healthcare a CHOICE in the U.S.
Can your uninsured in Britain get service immediately in your emergency rooms as in America?
Do you want a system with problems that works for you or a system with problems that works for corporate profit?
That’s the difference. I’d rather have cancer in Toronto than in Chicago, where I live. Make sure you send e-mails to the White House and congress over the next few weeks expressing your support for universal coverage, especially Congressman “Boner”.
THE CANADIAN HEALTHCARE SYSTEM IS SUPERIOR TO THE CURRENT AMERICAN SYSTEM… my uncle just had a serious surgery for lung cancer, he felt the canadian system acted fast enough. I have had nothing close to a major surgery but when i go to the doctors there is never too long a wait and i get great treatment
A study just came out last week in the American Journal of Medicine that states that 62 percent of all U.S. bankruptcies are because of medical bills. And 75 percent of those had health insurance.
That means 46 percent of all bankruptcies are by families that were covered by health insurance!
Jew much?
OMG…NO!!!!!!!!!
Peapin,
Thanks for showing an example that debunks the myths about the Canadian system. For the uninsured here the “wait” is PERMANENT. Or if they go to the ER for care ,because they have no other choice, the “wait” can be 6-10 hours. Totally inhumane. The Canadians care about their fellow man. The Libertarians, who seem to dominate this blog, are self-centered individuals who rely on govt. programs on a daily basis(police, fire, schools, roads). They couldn’t do without them. Ironic, isn’t it?
I don’t know, I lived on the border of Canada in New York and met many Canadians who came across the border to get doctor visits and most I met did not like their health care benefits in Canada. In order to get an unbiased view you would need to interview at least a million people not the hundred or so interviewed by myself or this video.

Health care alone makes me want to move to Canada.
freedom and equality for all? so the government should provide everyone in America a free house because, ya know, not everyone has a house. we should also be provided with free cars because unequal access to transportation should not be tolerated right? how about free food? you’re gonna need food long before you need healthcare. and free clothes too! if the government does not provide these services, they are going against freedom and equality for all. i totally understand your logic….
As a British person (I understand that these conservatives have been speaking to us, too) I would like to say that I am quite content with our health care system. It’s not perfect, in fact it could be a lot better, but if we had millions of people without insurance, THAT would be a real disaster.
Todays news suggests that we can spend 1 trillion more dollars and still have 39 million uninsured Americans. This “Pie in the Sky” healthcare systems sounds good, but when you begin to really look at it in depth, you will see the warts. Tort system must be reformed. AMA is against it. Government bean counters deciding who gets what when and where and how is total bullshit. I know plenty of snow birds who come to Florida annually who look forward to getting their health care needs while here.
i have been saying it for months now, and virtually every american has been sniping me down when i say Socialized health care works great for Canadians, and statically, the US health care system is flawed and counters the whole ‘freedom and equality for all”. i am VERY glad Obama addressed this problem today, and many of Americans biggest problems have been adressed by him
In England, bureaucrats decide how long people should live. Whether you pay £0 in to the system or £1billion, if the Govt decides that your disease and your medications are too expensive based on some arbitrary criteria then they sentence you to die. And they will continue to take your taxes regardless.
although i know the US health care system does offer adequate treatment to those who cannot afford it, I think both of our countries health care systems work just fine. ultimately, the only difference is that EVERY Canadian citizen will receive free health care, including hospital stays, surgeries, treatments, etc. we only have to pay for 40% of the medical drug value (which is half the price of the same drugs in America, btw) so in essence, Canadians pay 1/4 for the exact same drugs in USA
He’s also the fired head of Columbia-HCA, one of the for-profit hospital groups, because of Medicare and other fraud to the tune of millions of dollars in penalties. I guess this was the only job he could find.
that’s not my point at all. food SHOULD be available to everyone, and if poor people cannot pay at a commercial retailer, staples should be issued. our countries can spend billions on over seas military actions, and billions on new weapon development, but they cant spend 1 billion on feeding the people of its own nation? social healthcare wont work in the USA but improvements are necessary to cover everyone. if your too ill to work you cant make your way to the top, isn’t that the American dream?
i live on the Canadian – American border. ironically, i was on a cruise today on a ship “The Empire Sandy ” (check it on youtube) out of the 180 people on board, about 40 of them were Americans. the ironic part is, i heard a bunch of Canadians and Americans talking about health care. the general feeling was, we pay more in taxes, but EVERY treatment is covered. more then 47 million Americans arnt covered by ANY insurance, and many usually come up to Canada for cheap drugs.
Here's something to think about: according to the census bureau, of the 47 million or so that are uninsured almost 10 million are illegal immigrants, 8 million make over 75,000 a year, another 8 million make over 50,000 a year, and 14 million qualify for medic-aid or medicare but do not apply. Hmmm. makes you think that maybe our system isn't so bad after all. So Obama needs to quit with his fear mongering and quit lying to us. There are a lot of unemployed, but 47 million is very misleading. Give us a real number!
Also the idea is that by giving health care to everyone, businesses don't have to pay for it, and then they can give more jobs, increase profit, and help the economy. Which sounds great, if you're stupid. Since Universal health care is insanely expensive, guess who pays for it? raised taxes on business and on the rich, (and apparently companies that aren't green). So it's basically a beat-around the the bush way to distribute wealth. And ask yourself this? Is it a good idea to take from from the rich? Take money from a poor man, and he becomes poorer, take money from a rich man, and he goes to work and fires his workers. So which is worse? MAYBE GOVERNMENT JUST SHOULDN'T TAKE PEOPLES MONEY!
