Ready for what?

article by Matt Wiggins

If we can on our bodies, and the amount of exercise we do, we usually talk about, something to fit in relation to. An object is about “accessible”, the clothing is “fit to be worn to work,” and the food is “fit to be eaten.” My parents had a joke was that they fit – fit to drop! Everything else is ready “for something.” So why do we insist on describing as a “form” or “unfit” without context, the concepts of something else?

GENERAL

There is a fundamental truth that the human body wasn t ‘did not sit still for long periods. We have spent tens of thousands of years has developed in an environment that we must move – to find shelter, to get food and to keep us safe from predators. We have only lived lifestyles that allow us to solve for the part less than 100 years – not enough time for evolution to adapt the body to this new environment. We see him constantly of modern rates of heart disease, arteriosclerosis, chronic pain and muscle mass and bone loss in people who have become inactive as they age.

At the beginning of the activities reflects a very real effect of both stress and energy. Our bodies have a “use-it-or-lose-it” mode with energy – if we do not use it constantly, and then replace energy (with the activity followed by rest and good nutrition), we begin to notice our energy slowly draining away. We feel tired, lethargic, and as if every effort is simply to be worth much. And if we are under stress – for example at work or in a difficult relationship – we feel the energy loss and the burden even more

These are the general principles to be true, they seem to be. we are. But different lifestyles require different amounts of energy, and the exact cost varies in relation to stress. We like, and our bodies are capable of various types of activities. It makes sense, then, that the amount and type of activities that will help us achieve our optimum fitness will be different.

Different Strokes

If this is the case, then more “fit” without a frame of reference seems to be a meaningless concept. If we do not know what we want as a “fit” – meaning well for us – there is no reason for us, and stay that way. If my life is basically calm, quiet and easy flowing, and I am very happy that it stays that way, is my ‘best fitness’ will be very different to someone who has discovered a deeper fulfillment in the establishment of an objective and well reach it. Someone who just want to take a walk with friends, going without is inflated to a different fitness level best to find someone, how to finish a marathon there.

In this sense, wants to have what people want often changes over time. Perhaps at some point in your life that you enjoy spending a few hours practice a day, but now we realize that there are things that you enjoy so much more this time had to do. Alternatively, if you start with the creation of your quality of life for themselves, would have been quite healthy for you, just your body. What new activities have proven, it is possible to discover, in fact, some of them enjoy for its own good, and want to be in shape, so you might do more. So, for several moments of your life, you would have a different optimum fitness level.

WHAT YOU WANT “Fit for?”

This brings us back to the original question BE – you can speak in shape, without knowing exactly what to do we “fit” The way we see and your fitness level best all depends on what you want in? be able to do in your daily life that you want to feel like you know how much energy you want, and how this movement is in line with the rest of your life. So the first step toward an optimal fitness must, therefore, that all the important decision: “What I want to be in shape for”
