Some children have actually died from the flu this year here in Colorado, one of them 15 years! Being healthy is one thing I know I still often take for granted until I get sick, it is, I know that I have found it easier to stay healthy than it healthy again, if one is sick, it is also . In this sense (and the season just started), here are some tips guide to stay healthy this season wrestling: eating
well. This means eating lots of fruits and vegetables, the best way to get all the nutrients your body needs to stay healthy.
Avoid sugar! Sugar suppresses the immune system. Soda Pop is probably the number one culprit for most people, do yourself a favor and a fresh juice or water instead. (Fathers and coaches, including alcohol suppresses the immune system.)
Food supplement with vitamins / minerals. Vitamin C and zinc, in particular, has been shown to boost the immune system.
get enough sleep.
Stay well hydrated. Our body needs water to function properly, especially if you do additional things, such as the drafting and defense of all the “bugs” that normally go around. Hot drinks and soups are also good here and help us
Stay warm. If we are cold, force our bodies to work in order to keep warm. This takes energy from the immune system and makes us more susceptible to disease.
year (this is only during the season!). Regular exercise keeps your metabolism high and your body (including the immune system) to a level as high as a well oiled machine.
Cleaned. Shower immediately after practice, and wash your hands often with soap and hot water. Most cold and flu viruses are transmitted by direct contact.
Avoid close contact with people who have a cold or flu.
Keep your hands away from eyes, nose and mouth. Your hands are probably the part of your body where you are most likely to get the viral spread of germs. To help is not needed for the “bad” by putting them directly to you!
