Health Care Plans Come With Many Conditions

Health Care Plans Come With Many Conditions

All the people who have a health care plan are usually quite happy with their plan. There are a great variety of health care plans currently available to people and all of these health insurance programs have different conditions for their use. Some health care plans provide service to the members, but they must use certain physicians and hospitals. These plans are often annoying to people because they know of a great doctor, but they have no choice. Luckily other medical care programs allow the patient to choose their doctors and hospitals which people prefer.

Some people have health care plans that are partially paid for by their employers. Usually the people with this type of insurance plan do not have to pay as much as some of their friends. Most workers would love to have some of the costs paid for by their employers. Although some of these people would not be able to pay for health insurance without the help of their company, in another job they might not have a choice. Most of the insurance plans allow for coverage of the immediate family.

Some Health Care Plans Are Better Than Others

Some health care plans require that a member pays a certain amount of money out of their pocket before they are covered. These plans might end up being a big expense. Other medical plans require that each member pays a certain portion of their bills from their own pockets. Some insurance plans only pay if the patient suffers from a catastrophic event. Some medical plans are very slow paying their customers. Members often leave these companies, but they often have to wait a period of time before they can change to another company.

All of the health plans are different in some respects. Some pay one hundred percent of the costs of an illness while others only pay eighty percent. Some health care plans pay for things like substance abuse treatments and home medical care while others do not pay for these things. Some of these plans include costs for dental work while others do not pay for the dentists. Vision screening and glasses are covered in the plans of some people while others must have separate insurance to cover these costs or pay out of their own pocket. A good plan can contribute significantly to the welfare of the member.

Either he hasn't gotten around to it yet, or it's a hollow promise he made to win votes.

I didn't vote for the man, but I will say that there's no way he's possibly going to be able to address ALL of his campaign promises in less than a week.

If a year goes by and he still hasn't addressed that topic, then you've got your answer.

In the mean time, at least give the man a chance.

Priscilla will be fending for herself mostly and probably seek out the majority of her health care through emergency rooms as she will have no access through a job to health insurance, and McCain's tax credit wouldn't even cover the premiums alone for 2 months, never mind any deductible or medicine expenses. Poor Priscilla will be forced to use her husband's life insurance policy, not for her children to go to school as they had planned, but rather to pay for healthcare through McCain's faulty system. It is obvious that McCain has no understanding of the struggle of the "average joe or jane",he has become desensitized by his own wealth. Do you think the average person, or dare I say veteran would even be alive today if they had the same diagnosis as McCain? NO WAY!! He got the best treatment $ can buy! too bad for the rest of us, he doesn't see the problem for what it is.

This situation should first be taken to the Administration or the School Board of your school. You may also want to contact the physician who requested the 504 to see if he/she can provide information on how to file a complaint against the school.

I work at a school, and we are very careful about accommodating students with IEPs and 504s. No instructor at my school would behave in the way you've described.

If you are a minor, your parents should be told about this situation.

This instructor is not just "neglecting your health", he is breaking the law. I battled my daughter's school for 4 years regarding her 504 and never received any cooperation, so sometimes you have to persist regarding your rights.

  14. Lucey R says:

I fixed it for you. here:

Health care has been an issue for an extensive amount of time, and has been addressed in various ways, but I believe that there is a better way to go about our health care concerns. Kennedy was the first to address health care in the 1960's, yet without a mandate outlining his plan for health care Congress did not pass his proposal. After the assassination of JFK, Johnson was sworn into office, and then he promptly presented Congress with health care legislation of his own. He is responsible for the creation of the first program designed to provide care for the elderly, known as Medicare, which provided coverage to those over the age of 65. Later he was responsible for the creation of Medicaid which extended the legislation to include those on welfare. Medicare and Medicaid were both innovative programs during that time, however the need for greater health care coverage of our citizens has never been greater, and we now must seek new ideas that would provide affordable quality coverage to the people in the US.
The leading dilemma in our health care is the cost for good quality care. PPO is a health care plan that allows the patients to control their health care choices; they are not limited to specific hospitals, or specific lesser-educated doctors, or specialists. They can see a specialist without the approval of a doctor. HMO is a health care program with many limitations; in which the patients have specific doctors from specific hospitals that care for their needs. Patients of HMO are not allowed to see a specialist without a doctor’s approval, and if they do, they will not be covered by their health care. The tremendous difference between these two is the prices associated with each plan. “To be a patient of PPO health care you would have to pay $171.40 a month as well as 10 to 20 dollars every doctor visit.”< >http://www.vitalonehealth.com/What-is-PP... Where HMO is extremely cheaper, in which you only pay for the doctor’s visit themselves; but each HMO plan is specialized for the person, and are all different.

I believe in something of close proximity to universal health care, yet at the same time far from it. We as people cannot survive without health care, yet I do not think that we all deserve to have it handed to us on a silver platter. Of course, we all deserve to live that same as the next person, however, I feel as though we should abide by Darwin’s theory of Evolution; “the survival of the fittest,” and that we should work for what we need, nevertheless it should not be as hard it is to obtain. Thus the cure for health care is simply the lowering of prices, as a result would give the people what they want; which is the opportunity for everyone to have health care without the limitations, and the cost that comes with universal health care. The way to acquire this money would be to take into consideration what the health care dollars are put toward. “75% of health care dollars are spent on patients with chronic conditions, that can be prevented;” since those conditions can be prevented, the health care dollars could go to the safety and care to prevent chronic conditions; which would be increasingly less, than once the chronic illness has met its climax. Chronic illness can be prevented by making safety measures towards obesity problems, and smoking habits; then more money could go towards those people who’s disease’s were not put on by themselves.

    Please help me
    Hi there!

My friend sent me your page because we both used to work at Sam’s Club.

She still works there as a cashier but I was wrongfully terminated Monday night May 7, 2007.

I have been a faithful employee for over a year there.

I worked in the Optical center.

I worked there part time, go to school full time and intern as well.

Wednesday, May 2, 2007 I clocked in earlier, at 4:00, wasn’t secluded until 4:30 so as I was on my way down I got distracted and didn’t end up going down there till 4:24.

All night long I didn’t have one member it felt like so when I went to take my break I lost track of time.

I was called back to Optical because there was a member waiting, although I didn’t get the page because I was upstairs in the break room.

One of the managers Robert came up to tell me and asked me how long I had.

I said 2 minutes because at that time I realized that I had lost track.

So I went down there a minute later and they were gone.

Later on Robert comes in optical leaning on my desk, right in my face (too close for comfort) and asked me if I was on my lunch.

I said “On my lunch, I was on break.” He asked me if I knew if breaks were only supposed to be 15 min? I said yes, then he asked me how long was I up there, I said like 20.

I knew that I had messed up. That night I clocked out at 8:20 instead of 8:30 because I didn’t want to get in trouble again for having clocked in early.

My next day back to work was Monday. My manager was acting weird so I knew something was up but had no idea what. About 8:00 I was called up to the manager’s office and the manager from the front end (she’s new I don’t know her name) terminated me.

All the time that I worked at Sam’s I have never got a member’s complaint, never written up, never couched, not a D-day, nothing.

I don’t understand how they can just fire me like that.

They said that I stold company hours which makes sense but I don’t think that it’s fair that other people get all these warnings and I just jet canned.

Now my friend is saying that Robert (Robert C?) told everyone that I lied to him, which I didn’t.

    I don’t think that it’s fair.

I feel that they were just making an example out of me.

I not looking for my job back or anything.

Funny thing is that day I got fired I was going to put my 2 weeks in but couldn’t because, Debbie (the lady that does that) wasn’t there that day.

I just feel like it wasn’t fair to me at all and I know when I’m mistreated. I’m asking for advice, is there anything that I would be able to do?

I really don’t know what to do. Like I said I don’t want my job back, I just want justice.

The simple answer to cheapening healthcare is simply to train more doctors. With more doctors practicing medicine you have more competition and cost will come down. Currently we turn away about 20,000 people each year from Med School. I think the cheapest and easiest way for a permanent fix is to open at least one more medical school in each state.

Do you want a committee “that has to BEG FOR YOUR VOTE” to pick your healthcare or a CEO that gets YOUR $ and MORE… if he CUTS your care?

Not much of an argument here. You can easily CHANGE your government health rules, NOT a private Corp’s.

  39. I never waste my time reading a question longer than a few paragraphs.

Most of the media is liberal. Interestingly, when you go overseas, you will sometimes be surprised at the non-biased nature of the publicationsd. The Manila Times is a great newspaper, very informative.

  40. D.C.born says:

    1. There isn't a single government agency or division that runs efficiently; do we really want an organization that developed the U.S. Tax Code handling something as complex as health care?

    2. "Free" health care isn't really free since we must pay for it with taxes; expenses for health care would have to be paid for with higher taxes or spending cuts in other areas such as defense, education, etc.

    3. Profit motives, competition, and individual ingenuity have always led to greater cost control and effectiveness.

    4. Government-controlled health care would lead to a decrease in patient flexibility.

    5. Patients aren't likely to curb their drug costs and doctor visits if health care is free; thus, total costs will be several times what they are now.

    6. Just because Americans are uninsured doesn't mean they can't receive health care; nonprofits and government-run hospitals provide services to those who don't have insurance, and it is illegal to refuse emergency medical service because of a lack of insurance.

    7. Government-mandated procedures will likely reduce doctor flexibility and lead to poor patient care.

    8. Healthy people who take care of themselves will have to pay for the burden of those who smoke, are obese, etc.

    9. A long, painful transition will have to take place involving lost insurance industry jobs, business closures, and new patient record creation.

    10. Loss of private practice options and possible reduced pay may dissuade many would-be doctors from pursuing the profession.

    11. Malpractice lawsuit costs, which are already sky-high, could further explode since universal care may expose the government to legal liability, and the possibility to sue someone with deep pockets usually invites more lawsuits.

    12. Government is more likely to pass additional restrictions or increase taxes on smoking, fast food, etc., leading to a further loss of personal freedoms.

    13. Patient confidentiality is likely to be compromised since centralized health information will likely be maintained by the government.

    14. Like social security, any government benefit eventually is taken as a "right" by the public, meaning that it's politically near impossible to remove or curtail it later on when costs get out of control.

Michael Moore the and his communist followers expect others to pay for Health care they otherwise couldn’t afford.
